Yam-yam means: An English person who is from the Black Country region of the West Midlands. The Yam-yams speak a slightly different version of English than non-locals, and sometimes even their neighbors from Birmingham. Their vocal accent is thickened by the strong accent of the speaker. They also use standard vocabulary in lieu of local terminology. (in Community Dictionary, added by Maximus Fischer)
