Vasette means: A small vase originally used to display specimen flowers. The word was believed to be used by Sir Joseph Banks in his Florilegium, which compiles the botanical works of several of his fellows from the 1800’s. This word is now used to refer to any vase that contains flowers that are arranged inside it. It is different from bouquets, which are arranged in the hands and tied with ribbon and bow. Sometimes, flowers can also be wrapped in cello, paper or other materials before being placed into a vase. (in Community Dictionary, added by Lainey Tucker)
