trimatic means: Three-speed automatic transmission for Holden cars from 1970 to 1988, such as the Torana and Kingswood. It was eventually replaced by a variety of GM units. Many people loved “Trimagic”, for their fluid shifts and “Traumatic” because of its poor reliability, how much power it took from the engine and how many oil it left behind. The column or floor shifts are used for operation. (in Community Dictionary, added by Amaro Prieto)
