What else does sciamachy mean?
- The English word skia is derived from Greek roots. Skia means dark and shadows. Machos refers to fighting. It can be translated as: fighting shadows, fighting an unseeable enemy, shadowboxing or a frenzy of strange movement that is like someone trying to defeat an invisible foe. The latter definition, however, means absurdity. This is also my internet nick, which I use quite well all over the place. It was randomly chosen from my huge old dictionary.
