Philodoxer means: Plato, a Greek philosopher, coined the term philodoxer. He used it to mean “love”. It shares the root “philos”, which is “love” and philosopher. While “sophia”, which stands for wisdom, can be translated as “lover” by philosopher. “Doxa” however means “opinion” and “belief”, so philodoxer literally means “lover” of opinions.
