Jolly Boys Outing means in slang: An ad-hoc cricket mission organized by senior members of The Jolly Boys Luton branch. An ‘outing’ is a time for drinking, skanking and eating. It also includes special meals prepared especially for one member, as well as splattering on other people’s toilets. This is a tradition that involves missing the exciting beginning of an innings because you arrive late to a match. There is also a form of “pangaa” at one point during the day. Many times, funding is provided by just one or two people who cannot recoup the money owed to them by others, even though they were told “Yeah, yeah I’ll sort it out later”.
