Jockan means in slang: It is a cold, miserable and wet land to the north of Hadrian’s wall. However, it depends on who you ask that Edinburgh isn’t part of this great country. It is true that it once belonged to the Kingdom of Northumbria. This is why Athelstanford, near Edinburgh is named after an English King with an English suffix. The English are constantly fighting against the gingers over religion even though half of its inhabitants don’t believe in God. This land is known for its shlte food and decent ale, even though most prefer bam juice or “Jock Juice”, as they call it. Jockan has had a lot of good things happen, including oil in the North Sea. The Teutchers will be able to stop being miserable bastards. Just don’t tell them. (in Slang Dictionary, added by Roberto Durham)
