Gorgonic means: Non-specific adjective, which could be taken from the Greek monster the gorgon. Although the obvious meaning is “monstrous,” it can also be used in many other contexts to refer to large, strong, pungent and loud or old. It is a fake adjective that’s used to make people listen to what you have to say. (in Community Dictionary, added by Charlie Singleton)
